WeWriWa friends, as much as we love reading your writing, we're seeing an increasing number of participants going over 10 sentences in their snippets. To help clarify our "ten sentence" rule, we do count one word as a sentence if it is followed by a period or a question mark.
We do condone "creative punctuation" -- your sentences don't have to be grammatically correct -- but please keep in mind, if you simply replace periods with commas you are potentially confusing readers, and not putting your best writing out there. If you want to attract new readers, it's in your best interest to use eight to ten grammatically correct sentences.
Anybody who posts a snippet for WeWriWa that goes over 10 sentences will have their link deleted. This goes for all participants, veterans included. We are not playing favorites. We need everybody to play by the same rules so this blog hop is fair to everybody.
Welcome to Weekend Writing Warriors, the weekly hop for everyone who loves to write! Sign up below with your name, blog and email and share an 8 to 10 sentence snippet of your writing on Sunday. Your post needs to be live between 12:00 noon on Saturday 09/05/15 and 9:00 AM on Sunday 09/06/15. Visit other participants on the list and read, critique, and comment on their 8sunday posts.
